PTI Holiday Swap!

How lucky am I that I posted underneath Melissa (melissaj17) on the PTI Holiday Swap Thread?  Let me show you!  I got completely spoiled!

She generously gave me BB: Tin Type AND the ric-rac die!  She also included several die cuts of the Mat Stack #3 die in my favorite PTI colors.

Here is a photo of the beautiful card she made:

And an absolutely adorable stocking with a sweet little tag:

I've already gobbled up one of the candy canes!

Thank you so much, Melissa!

Bethie's Stamp Set Challenge #1

I had been wanting to make a Holloween themed card using Wreath for all Seasons ever since I saw it!  I'm really please with how it turned out!  I'm not crazy about the several layers, but I love the focal image.  Thanks and hope you like it!

Everything is PTI except the ribbon is Celebrate It from Michaels.

Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

Here goes!  This is my first blog hop challenge...hope it turns out ok!

Paper: Teracotta Tile, Harvest Gold
Ribbon: Ripe Avocado
Ink: Teracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate, Scarlet Jewel
Stamps: Leaf Prints, Places Please, Fillable Frames #7
Other: Tag Die

So this month is all about new techniques and skills learned from others.  Since I'm still new to stamping, it would be impossible for me to narrow down any specific technique.  I'm so inspired by every card I see and have learned everything about stamping from everyone on the PTI forum.  So, I figured what I should do is recognize the person who got me to buy that first stamp set.

Nichole posted this card on her blog by Carol at Carol's Ink Spot:

I saw her cards using Dot Spot and I knew I had to do that.  She stampted a beautiful background of the Dot Spot onto vellum.  It was love at first sight:

Hope you like my Celebrate Autumn card!  And thanks, Carol, for inspiring me to start stamping!

So this is my very first card post on my blog. It's very fitting that it is a thank you card for Nichole and the rest of the gang at PTI. I have been so inspired since discovering PTI in February and am so happy that I have a hobby and something fun to do when I have "me" time! Thank you for all that you do. I hope that all these wonderful forum friends we have will make it easier to forget about the negative things that you hear. We love you! Keep up the good work!!!

Thank you card:
ALL PTI, of course!
cardstock: spring moss, plum pudding, lavender moon
ink: spring moss, lavender moon
ribbon: spring moss, lavender moon, plum pudding
stamps: Big & Bold Wishes and about 10 other PTI sets for the "thank you" sentiments!

So here a close-up of the stamp. I started my cut just before the "d" in "delight" in the top row and angled it so the cut ended before the "t" in "the" in the bottom row.

At the opposite end, it starts after the word "enough" and is angeled so it ends after the "e" in "moment."

So, yes, I did cut through some letters and words. But, it really doesn't seem to matter!

Hope this helps!
